FAQ #1

When will my pot(s) be ready?

This can vary based on your pieces and the kind of class or workshop you are attending, but we will always let you know to the best of our ability when you attend.

Clay pieces will usually be dried and fired to bisque in about two weeks. You can then book an appointment to come in and paint them. Finally, your decorated pieces will be glazed and gloss fired, ready to collect about two weeks later.

We will contact you to let you know when your item(s) are ready to collect.

FAQ #2

How long do custom pieces take?

Your baby/child/pet prints take a little time for us to customise, dry, and fire.

Prints in paint onto pottery pieces can be turned around in about two weeks.

Clay imprints need to dry and be bisque fired before colour can be added and they can be glazed and fired again. This process takes a minimum of three weeks.

Please let us know if you have time constraints and we will do our best to accommodate them, but please be aware our kilns are already on a tight schedule!

FAQ #3

Will I get to throw on the wheel?

Our weekly Freestyle classes revolve around hand-building techniques, so they do not involve throwing on the wheel. However, you will learn techniques to help with creating a huge variety of different clay forms.

We have two wheels for teaching and currently only offer private bookings for throwing lessons. Please get in touch to find out more!

FAQ #4

Can I commission a piece?
